Our Mission
Gambling Solutions and Counseling Services of Michigan, P.L.C. is dedicated to providing individualized counseling which promotes change and growth while specializing in helping those adversely affected by gambling. Gambling Solutions and Counseling Services of Michigan, P.L.C. takes a neutral stance on legalized gambling.
Our Vision and Purpose
- To provide confidential and individualized counseling to individuals, couples, families and groups.
- To provide training, education, prevention and treatment for problem gamblers and their families.
- To increase public awareness of problem gambling.
- To decrease the negative impact of problem gambling on individuals, families, and institutions of Michigan.
History
In 2003, Gambling Solutions and Counseling Services of Michigan, P.L.C. was founded by Denise Phillips to provide professional counseling services for problem gamblers and their families in a safe, confidential, and respectful atmosphere. Gambling Solutions and Counseling Services of Michigan, P.L.C. also provides outpatient counseling for a wide range of clinical issues including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, substance abuse disorders, marital and family problems, and job related or career concerns. Gambling Solutions and Counseling Services of Michigan, P.L.C. is soley owned and operated by Denise Phillips, MSW, ACSW, LMSW, CAAC, NCGC-II/BACC.
Denise Phillips has been a contracted provider for the Neighborhood Service Organization Gambling Treatment Program funded by the Michigan Department of Community Health since 1999.
