Professional Opportunities

Denise Phillips is a Licensed Master Social Worker in the state of Michigan.  She is also a National Certified Gambling Counselor-II and a Board Approved Clinical Consultant.  Applicants for the NCGC-II and IGCC-II are often in need of an experienced and knowledgeable clinical consultant.  Denise Phillips conducts professional supervision groups that provide counselors new in the gambling field with the opportunity to discuss clinical issues related to problem gambling.  Supervision sessions can cover a variety of topics such as ethics, legal issues, assessments, application of counseling techniques and transference and countertransference reactions. The hours of involvement in group supervision can be applied towards hours needed to obtain your gambling certification. 

Supervision groups will be held at 409 Plymouth Avenue, Suite 123, Plymouth, Michigan 48170.  Arrangements can also be made for case consultation and individual supervision.
